Connor Rodrigues is a dedicated 12-year-old who has spent over four years playing the sport he loves—football. Recently, Connor suffered a serious injury during a game, resulting in a tibial spine fracture that requires an arthroscopic open reduction internal fixation surgery. The procedure will use small cameras and instruments to realign and secure the fractured tibial eminence, which is the bony attachment for the ACL, through small incisions. After surgery, Connor will need to spend four weeks in a brace and attend physical therapy twice a week for twelve weeks to regain his strength and mobility. This injury has deeply affected our family. Both my husband and I will need to miss work to support Connor through his recovery. My husband runs his own business and relies on daily sales, while I will be taking time off to care for Connor. While we do have medical insurance, it does not provide adequate coverage for the surgery, anesthesia, and ongoing physical therapy Connor needs. The out-of-pocket costs are significant, and we are reaching out for help to cover these essential medical expenses. Connor is tough and resilient, but the road ahead will be long and grueling. He is determined to recover and return to the sport he loves, but he needs support to get there.
